Frequently Asked Questions

Upon completion of the program, you will have an Early Childhood (3-6) or Elementary I (6-9) or Elementary II (9-12) certification from both MACTE (Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education) and from AMS (American Montessori Society).

Not through MRC directly but the school you work in for your practicum experience  may be interested in helping with costs of the program. Often, this entails commiting to working at the school under agreed upon terms. It is up to the adult learner to talk with their praciticum school about financial support. 

MRC strongly believes that course instruction should be in-person. In-person courses will include lectures covering Montessori philosophy, curriculum and supervised practice with the Montessori materials. MRC firmly believes in the value of community and collaboration that develops when adult learners are learning and practicing together in-person.
