About the Admission Process
Upon completion of the training course, you will have a 3-6 or 6-9 certification from MACTE Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education.
Not through the training center directly but the school you are currently working at may be interested in covering the training costs if you will be fulfilling your practicum with that school.
The 2023 summer portion of the training course is in-person. Instruction will include lectures covering Montessori philosophy, curriculum and supervised practice with the Montessori materials. The successful completion of the summer session will be followed by a practicum in an accredited Montessori school. During the 9 month practicum period, additional weekly meetings will be virtual. 2024 summer session will be two weeks in-person to practice and complete exams for certification.
If you are interested in upper elementary (9-12) certification, this will require you to first take the lower elementary course in the summer of 2023, and then the upper elementary course in the summer of 2024. You will be offered a space in the upper elementary training program (summer 2024) after successful completion of the lower elementary training program.
Sure! The option to audit the course at a reduced cost is available (10% discount).
These workshops are open and available to teachers, parents, administrators - anyone interested in learning more about Montessori and the topics that will be covered!
